Are you able to clean the Disc-O-Bed®?

Yes. All canvas parts can be washed down using a non-abrasive cloth/sponge, a mild detergent and cold water. Simply air dry. It is suggested to test the detergent on a small area to see color fastness. All steel components can be wiped down with a wet, non-abrasive cloth. For additional care and usage instructions, refer to the Assembly Instruction (provided with the product).

Do you need a ladder to get onto the top bunk?

No. Simply stand on the side rail of the bottom cot and swing one leg up and onto the top cot.

Are you able to roll off the cot?

Difficult to do, unless it is done intentionally. The design of the Disc-O-Bed® is such that it naturally contours to your body shape. Due to a person's weight, the sleep area is lower than the side rails which makes it difficult to roll out of the bunk. For this reason too, no side rails are required.

Are single parts of the Disc-O-Bed® available should I misplace or lose one of them?

Yes. Please visit discobedshop.com or contact our Customer Service department and they will be happy to replace just the part that is missing. DO NOT use substitute parts.

Is the Disc-O-Bed® guaranteed?

Yes. Disc-O-Bed® carries a 1 year warranty on all materials and workmanship. Refer to the back page of the Assembly Instruction (provided with the product) for the full limited warranty and satisfaction guaranteed wording. The warranty is null and void should parts or accessories to the Disc-O-Bed® be modified in any way.

Is there an age restriction in using the Disc-O-Bed®?

The Disc-O-Bed® is intended for adult usage only and children should only use this product under adult supervision. The Disc-O-Bed® is manufactured, engineered and recommended for adults with average height and weight.

Can you sleep two adults on one cot?

No. Only one person allowed on each bed level. Use the bunk as it is intended and DO NOT triple stack.

Does the Disc-O-Bed® come with an assembly instruction?

Yes. Each kit comes with a step by step, easy to follow assembly instruction. Read carefully the important safety warnings and fully understand the assembly instructions prior to your own assembly of the product. Can you go hiking with your Disc-O-Bed®?

No. The Disc-O-Bed is manufactured from steel, is built to last and thus weighs just over 30lbs per single cot. The steel structure ensures for the overall longevity, stability, safety and comfort of the Disc-O-Bed. Best used within a short walking distance.

Can you assemble the Disc-O-Bed® by yourself?

Yes. It may take a few minutes longer, but the user friendly, step by step Assembly Instruction makes assembling by one person very easy. Click here to view Assembly Instructions.

Does the Disc-O-Bed® have a center beam like most other cots on the market today?

No. This is one of the many unique selling features of the Disc-O-Bed®. There is no center beam, instead the high grade polyester sleeping deck conforms to your body shape for true contoured comfort.

Does the Disc-O-Bed® require a mattress?

No. The Disc-O-Bed® is extremely comfortable and there is no need for a mattress, simply use a sleeping bag or blanket and pillow. Should you want extra comfort, we offer a sleeping pad or luxury Duvalay® sleeping bag as an add on accessory. See our list of accessories at discobed.com or shop at discobedshop.com.

Does the Disc-O-Bed® have a maximum weight capacity?

Most of our cots are guaranteed to a weight tolerance of 500lbs per single cot (1000lbs for the bunk configuration), however there may be some variances depending the product. Refer to the specific product page on our website discobed.com to confirm weight tolerances.

How do I know that the Disc-O-Bed® truly is as strong as you say it is?

The Disc-O-Bed company prides itself in delivering a product that is strong, robust, and extremely durable, delivering against all your expectations. Our product and fabrication thereof has been tried and tested - we are a proud supplier to the US Military and have been for over a decade. The Disc-O-Bed® far exceeds the mark when it comes to overall stability, comfort and portability.

Can you triple stack the Disc-O-Bed®?

No. The Disc-O-Bed® is intended to be used in a single or bunk (2 tier) configuration only. Triple stacking would be considered a misuse of the product and all warranties to be null and void.

What accessories are available for the Disc-O-Bed®?

Yes. We have a number of add on accessories that have been designed to further enhance your sleep experience. Some of those accessories include side organizers and stack adapters (which may be included in your kit), footlocker, cabinet, mosquito net and frame, footpads, leg extensions and more. Is Disc-O-Bed® available in any other colors or sizes?

Yes. We offer the Disc-O-Bed® in three sizes namely a large, extra-large or 2XL. We are plan on manufacturing additional colors in the future.

Is Disc-O-Bed® available in a children version?

Yes we do have kid bunks available. The Kid-O-Bunk® is available in 3 cool kid colors and can be purchased online at discobedshop.com.

Will the bed end frame of the Disc-O-Bed® damage my wooden floor?

No. The leg of the bottom bed end frame is rounded in design so to protect all floor surfaces. Optional rubber footpads are available as an add on accessory should you want extra floor protection. The footpads are only compatible with the rounded bed end frame. The straight bed end frame is already supplied with rubber foot plugs should you choose to use the Disc-O-Bed® as 2 single beds.

What is the size and weight of each single Disc-O-Bed® in a carry bag?

Each zippered carry bag holds one single cot (you will receiving 2 with your bunk) with all parts neatly packed and strapped into the bag. The size and weight depends which Disc-O-Bed® you have and the number of accessories you wish/can pack into the bag:

What is a "Proposition 65" warning?

You may have seen the following warning associated with our products, as well as on other products purchased from other manufacturers:

This warning is the result of a law passed in California in 1986, referred to as the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, or more generally referred to as "Proposition 65".
